UNC to lead pol tour on peace pact

Stepping up its efforts to create public awareness on the recently concluded 'Naga Peace Accord,' Naga frontal bodies led by the United Naga Council (UNC) are set to organize a 'political tour' from tomorrow.
According to UNC sources, the tour is aimed at creating mass awareness on the peace accord on August 3 at New Delhi between the NSCN (IM) and Government of India.
The UNC led tour team will include members of All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) and Naga Women Union (NWU) .
Spelling out its tour programme, the UNC informed that, the team will venture to far flung areas of Tamenglong in the first phase including Taosem and Jiribam where Nagas are settled.
It will continue the awareness campaign in other remote areas of Nagas dominated districts.
