Like Minded Group extends monetary aid

Imphal, February 06 2022:
In continuation of its philanthropic activities, Like Minded Group (LMG) extended monetary aid of Rs 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand) to Irengbam Ibomcha Meitei, a blood cancer patient from Laingoubi Awang Leikai in Kumbi Assembly Constituency.
A team of LMG went to the residence of Ibomcha and extended the monetary aid and donated two blankets after the Group came across the sad narrative of Ibomcha on social media platforms about his deplorable condition who is taking shelter in his uncle's house since he does not have any property of his own, said a statement by LMG.

Today's visit was led by Ojit Sorokhaibam, Secretary of LMG and was accompanied by the members of the Group namely Rameshwor Elangbam, Dr Umabati Athokpam and Dr Inaoba Nongmaithem among others.
Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, Ojit Sorokhaibam said there are many in the State who are leading a deplorable life and are in an extreme state of poverty.
Owing to their unfortunate situations, many seek help through social media platforms and wait for any form of help and considering such situations and in a bid to create a harmonious and egalitarian society , Like Minded group has been extending help to the poor and needy.
Expressing concern that no form of aid has been sanctioned for such destitutes from the Government's side, he urged all authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest and take up measures for their well being.
He also appealed to all to help and uplift the needy and downtrodden in the society.
Dr Inaoba Nongmaithem who was present on the occasion assured that Like Minded Group will continue to help the needy sections of the society.
The family members of Irengbam Ibomcha Meitei also expressed gratitude to the Like Minded Group for their generosity.
