All members of a family perish

All the members of a family numbering four including a child have been found dead and buried by the massive landslide that swept away Joumol village on Saturday.
Meanwhile last rites of the deceased victims whose bodies were recovered yesterday have been performed today after completion of post mortem.
Out of the four bodies recovered yesterday, three were members of a single family.
The four found dead yesterday have been identified as Hoineling Haokip (32), w/o Mangkholet Haokip, their two year old daughter Nengjoujam, nine months old son Paojamang and Nengnichin Khongsai (43) w/o Thengkhonglal Khongsai.
Although a joint team of the State Relief and Disaster Management Department, NDRF and troops of Assam Rifles have been conducting a rescue operation, Mangkholet could not be located so far, according to information received from Chandel district police.
All the four corpses found yesterday were buried today at Joumol.
NDRF Commandant Satish Kumar Shastri said that the rescue operation went on today but no more people were recovered either alive or dead.
The height of earth which covered Joumol village after the landslide would be around 20 feet.
While six victims have been rescued alive, four other victims could not be located till date.
Whether the rescue operations should go on or terminated would be decided in consultation with the district administration, Satish Kumar Shastri said.
