NHM staff rescue pregnant woman

Imphal, August 03 2015:
In what can be termed as a heroic act, staff of National Health Mission rescued a pregnant lady from flood hit area of Kakching Wairi with the help of a Shaktiman truck and a JCB and later brought her safely to Thoubal District hospital where the lady gave birth to a healthy daughter.
The incident happened in the night of July 31 .
Mayanglambam Ongbi Sanjita (34) w/o Mayanglambam Borchandra of Kakching Wairi was safely brought to the hospital in the night of July 31 by a team of NHM.

Due to incessant rain, it first seemed an impossible task to rescue the lady since there wasn't any way to reach out to her.
But with the dauntless effort from NHM staff, she was safely taken out from the flood hit area in a JCB.
NHM also rendered much needed help to other flood victims.
