91 new cases, 88 recoveries reported

Imphal, July 26 2022:
Government bulletins on Monday reported 91 new positive cases from 12 districts out of 1013 samples tested in the last 24 hours registering 8.98 per cent positivity rate.
The 91 fresh cases (43 male & 48 female) are residents of Imphal West (39), Imphal East (13), Bishnupur (12), Churachandpur (7), Senapati (6), Kakching (5), Chandel (2), Thoubal (2) and Ukhrul (2) districts.
The total number of toll remains
at 2126 as no death case was reported on Tuesday while 88 patients recovered in the last 24 hours from home isolation (68), JNIMS (8), RIMS (8) and Shija Hospital (4) .
Meanwhile, number of active cases
rose to 608, out of which 428 (70.39 per cent) are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2126 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,38,722 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed the lives of 197 vaccinated persons of which 63 had received second doses.
There are 14 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 20 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 1477 positive cases and six deaths since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 1452 new positive case and six death cases.
The cumulative positivity rate for the current month dropped to 10.69 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 200 D-type and 21 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 7,586 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,09,613, including 12,81,259 persons who had received the second dose and 1,82,188 had taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49436), Imphal East (30837), Thoubal (10231), Churachandpur (11128), Kangpokpi (3159), Tamenglong (3489), Bishnupur (9913), Senapati (2513), Ukhrul (3313), Kakching (6940), Chandel (2755), Noney (1169), Tengnoupal (1207), Jiribam (1116), Kamjong (1048) and Pherzawl (468) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,706 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 31,195 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,24,743 tests per million population against the national average of 6,20,187 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.53 per cent and the recovery stands at 98.03 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.52 per cent.
