Training on medical, aromatic plants held

Imphal, December 08 2021:
Under the sponsorship of National Medicinal Plants Board, State Medicinal Plants Board organised a one-day training programme on medicinal and aromatic plants cum buyers and sellers' meet in Kaapam village in Chandel district on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by Ayush director Dr A Guneshwar Sharma as chief guest and Kaapam village chairman Borpha as president.
Horticulture Mission Manipur's former mission director K Jogeshchandra Sharma, Horticulture assistant professor Dr PS Marium, associate professor Dr Ng Piloo and Horticulture department (CAU) assistant professor Dr Abhinah Moirangthem delivered lectures on topics related to potential species, conservation, cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants as resource persons.
Around 90 farmers from Chandel and Teng-noupal districts attended the training programme during which 10 farmers/SHGs/entrepreneurs also showcased their products at the buyers and sellers' meet.
