Poster campaign launched in connection with election

Vowel Society and United Living Trust on Wednesday launched a poster campaign in connection with the upcoming state assembly election, asking people to leave the practice of taking money in election to save the future generation.
One of the participants of the campaign stated that as a part of the campaign posters will be pasted on autorickshaws with the support of autorickshaw associations.
Due to the practice of taking money from candidates before election, corruption has become rampant, he noted and urged the public to extend support to the campaign which aims to highlight the right of everyone to choose their own representative.
The posters launched on-Wednesday carried messages of stopping the practice of taking money during election, asked people whether candidates who spend crores of money in election will work for the people, called for reducing election expenditure and highlighted importance of vote of a person.
