Annual Fresher's Social Meet held

Imphal, April 08 2022: Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) organised its "Annual Fresher's Sotial Meet" at the centenary hall of varsity on Friday.

The event was attended by MU VC Prof N Lokendro Singh as chief guest, MUSU 2021-22 president Sanasam Steven Singh as president and MU Students' Welfare dean Dr L Bishwanath Sharma as guest of honour.

In his address, Prof Lokendro stated that the Covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc across the globe, affected academic programmes and life.

As the pandemic is now slowly subsiding, we are able to return to pre-pandemic life and as such, it is important for all to work hard to become capable individuals in the future.

He then said that the Fresher's Meet is a special day for the students in the sense that it would serve as an opportunity for meeting and greeting old and new students of the varsity, thereby helping to bring about a good educational atmosphere to the university.

As part of the programme, several cultural events were presented.
