Dengue cases rising in Moreh

Moreh, November 27 2021:
As the state is experiencing fresh outbreak of Dengue, border town Moreh is witnessing a sharp spike as number of confirmed cases is about to breach the 100-mark with as many as 94 cases reported from the border town so far, with Chavangphai village accounting for 41 of the cases.
The number of total confirmed case was 91 on Friday but three new cases were detected on Saturday taking the tally to 94.Two of the three new cases are from Chavangphai village and the other from Mission Veng.
Meanwhile, officials of state malaria department and district malaria office are carrying out fogging and larvicide spraying activities in different parts of the town to control the outbreak.
They are also carrying out house to house survey to detect missed out cases.
Locals believe that the sudden surge of Dengue cases could be originated from Myanmar side.
They are feeling a sense of uncertainty in the face of the rising cases in the small border town.
