Imphal, November 27 2021:
Government College Teachers have resolved to start democratic protests from November 29 onwards as the concerned authorities have failed to issue 7th UGC pay slips by November 27, the deadline set by FEGOCTA.
In a statement issued today, FEGOCTA informed that the college teachers will protest by wearing black badges from November 29 to December 4 and stage sit-in-protests from December 6 to December 9 from 1.00 pm onwards in their respective colleges.
This will be followed by mass causal leaves from December 10 to December 11, the statement added.
The press release further cautioned that if 7th UGC pay slips are not issued by December 11, the college teachers will boycott all classes both online and offline from December 13 onwards.
Boycott of the classes will continue until the 7th UGC pay slips are issued.
It may be noted that these decisions were taken during an executive committee meeting of FEGOCTA held on November 26 .
