KSA Foundation Day celebrated at Jiri

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Jiribam district council celebrated the 16th Foundation Day of the students' body at the Jiribam Municipal Council auditorium on Saturday.
The celebration was attended by Jiribam SDO S Indrajit as chief guest and KSA Jiribam president Ch Achou as functional president while Jiri College principal Ch Randhoni, JIMWAK advisor Surendrakumar and KSA Jiribam former president L Konsam were guests of honour.
In his speech, Surendrakumar observed that contemporary students are just like newly born baby thrown into the water and surviving if able to swim and drowning if not; Contemporary students who passed examinations with high marks and ranks are indeed gift of God, he said, adding that state government seems to be blind particularly towards the education sector as it is only educational institutions which remained closed due to COV1D-19 pandemic when all other sectors are operating normally.
Government claims of conducting online classes but how many students join online class and how could students who are unable to learn even while attending physical class could improve through the namesake online classes, he questioned the government and appealed to the government of Manipur to learn from other states.
He also said that neighbouring states have resumed normal physical class by formulating specific SOPs.
He then suggested opening of educational institutions at least twice a week.
In connection with the celebration, a district level open quiz competition was conducted and winners were presented prizes.
