Imphal, November 18 2021: National president of BJP Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan, who arrived here on Thursday paid a visit to Shree Shree Govindaji temple and offered prayers to the deity to wind up her two-day visit to the state.

On Thursday she attended Kamal Sakhi Booth Sammelan for Imphal East district held at Nongada Kameng followed by visit to Ima Keithel, the largest women market, accompanied by a team of BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur members and office bearers.

There she interacted with the Ima (women) vendors and also bought local handicrafts to promote the local goods and artisans.

Later, Vanathi called on chief minister N Biren Singh at his office, along with BJMM Manipur president L Loteeka Leima and BJMM Manipur State in-charge Sumitra Laloo.

The national president of BJMM discussed the role of women in politics and civil services with the chief minister, informed BJP'Manipur Mahila Morcha media in-charge Nimmi Rajkumari in a statement.

Vanathi also called on governor La Ganesan at his bungalow and had a fruitful discussion with him, added the state.
