Malemkhomba Salam appointed as MPCC state chairperson

Imphal, November 18 2021: All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary KC Venugopal issued a notice on Wednesday appointing Malemkhomba Salam as the state chairperson for the social media department of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).

According to the notice, 7 people were appointed as the state coordinators, of the social media department of MPCC.

They are Alfred Huiningsungbam, Seiminthang Haokip, Thingbaijam Kippo Khuman, Rapanlung Kamei, Iliaz Khan, Ikram Ahmad and Thanglenlan Haokip.

Malemkhomba Salam was secretary of Manipur Pradesh Youjh Congress Committee and worked in the social media department of the party for a long time.

He participated in the national executive meetings of AICC in 2020 and 2021 .

Malemkhomba also worked as MPCC publicity secretary and took charge of the state coordinator MPCC social media department in 2019 .

This is the first time AICC has appointed a chairperson for the social media department of its party Committees in the various states, with Malemkhomba being the first for the social media department of MPCC.
