Guv, minister greet on Guru Nanak Day

Governor La Ganesan and Consumers Affairs, Food & Public Distribution minister Th Satyabrata Singh have extended heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur, especially to the Sikh brethren on the sacred occasion of Guru Nanak's birth anniversary, which falls on Friday.
In his message, the Governor said that Guru Nanak's universal vision and humanism have been an inspiration to people everywhere.
He urged alithe people to unite to bring happiness in the lives of the suffering and strive for the betterment of humanity and appealed to endeavour for following the Guru's profound teachings and work to strengthen the bonds of togetherness.
The inspiring teachings of the venerable Guru Nanak guide us always in creating a prosperous and harmonious society, he said.
"I join the people of Manipur in celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur," Ganesan conveyed.
In his message, Satyabrata also urged the people to follow Guru's divine teachings and work to eradicate miseries from society for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
He hoped that the Sikh community in the state will celebrate the festival with a spirit of unity.
