Weeklong book fair commences

In connection with its fourth anniversary celebration, The Readers Book Store has begun a week-long book fair at the store located within the premises of Manipur University from Saturday.
Several books ranging from fiction, non-fiction, self-help, children's books, Manipuri literature, criticism, academic writings and Marxist titles are being made available to the people at discounted rates.
The book fair is offering two books at Rs 199, 20 per cent off and 15 per cent off on selected titles.
Speaking to media persons, The Store coordinator Agoo Takhelchangbam informed that the fair is an annual programme of the store held in connection with its foundation day.
"We have been trying to reach out to the readers as much as possible by organising book fairs.
We believe that by inculcating reading habits, people could think critically and reflect on the issues and make joint efforts towards ushering in an egalitarian society," he opined, while adding that theme of the fair for this year is 'read, think, critique and revolt'.
