1st MNCA Super Plate Tourney : RULE thrash YUCC by 130 runs for seventh win on trot, qualify semis as Group winners

RULE, Malom thrashed YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 130 runs for seven of seven wins in the 1st MNCA Super Plate Tourney Group B league campaign at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College Ground and to qualify for the semi-finals as the group winners.
YUCC were the toss winners today and opted to field first.
Their decision however proved costly as RULE stacked up impressive total of 243 runs for 8 in allotted 40 overs and successfully restricted them (YUCC) to 113 runs within 28.5 overs for the 7th win on the trot.

YUCC's Ningthoujam Rahulkumar got the breakthrough earlier as Chabungbam Ishworjit (1) of RULE holed out to Laishram Bidyashwor in the third delivery making it 1/1 in the second ball of the second over.
Sanjenbam Suresh (30) and Jay Singh Haorokcham (23) helped RULE set up the momentum but YUCC's off-break bowler Punshiba Mangang (3/33 in 8 overs which contained two maidens) produced a brilliant bowling display to reduce RULE to 70/4 after 19.3 overs removing Jay Haorokcham, Mutum Sudhir (2) and Sanjenbam Suresh.
However, Thokchom Kishan (48), Raj Kumar Herachandra (34), Nongthombam Sarojkumar (44) and Sanjenbam Somokanta (29 not out) provided a late flourish to take the tally to 243 for 8.Notably, Thokchom Kishan struck 6 fours and 2 sixes on the way to his 23-ball 48 blitz while Somokanta hit 3 fours and 1 six.
Ningthoujam Sanjit of YUCC also collected two scalps for 35 as Devraj Non-gthombam and Ningthoujam Amarjit too made their names with a wicket each.
In the chase, YUCC faced a hard time and saw losing wickets in regular intervals after Md Karim removed Lishram Bidyashwor cheaply for 5 .
Jay Singh then clinched four wickets on the trot, including YUCC's top run getter Ningthoujam Thoiba (31) to restrict YUCC to 103/6 .
Sanjenbam Ananda (2/12 in 2.5 overs) and Thokchom Kishan Singh (2/18 in 7 overs which contained 3 maidens) then sealed the deal for RULE.
Elsewhere at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, PTCC, Patsoi beat PCC Mayai Koibi for the 3rd win in 6 Group A league matches.
PTCC rode on Andyroshan Mandingbam (31), Dominic Moirangthem (31), Mangshatabm Veekash (22) and identical 17 runs knock by Naorem Victor and Sadananda Okram to post a below par 161 for 8 and bowled out PCC for 121 with 3 overs left to spare.
In PTCC innings, Thokchom Anand and Thokchom Santosh picked up two wickets each as Lourem-bam Dipu, Mathurabash- imayum Jobanta, Chungkham Kenny and Vikas shared a wicket apiece.
Thokchom Ananda (31) made the most score for PCC in the chase which saw PTCC leg break bowler Deepak spinning web around their line up on the way to his three wicket haul (23/9) and pacers, Sohail Akram, Dominic Moirangthem and Sadananda Okram claiming two wickets each to apply break.
