PTCC upstage PCC, RULE crush YUCC in MNCA Superplate Tournament

PTCC notched up a 40-run win over PCC as RULE overpowered YUCC by 130 runs in the MNCA Superplate Tournament on Sunday.
PTCC opted to bat first and scored 161/8 in the stipulated 40 overs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
In the innings, Dominic Moirangthem was unbeaten on 31 as Andyroshan Madingbam made 31 off 40 balls, with contributions from Mangshatabam Veekash (22), Naorem Victor (17) and Sadananda Okram (17).PTCC successfully defended their total after they bowled out PCC for 121 in 37 overs.
Three wickets by Deepak, 2 each by Sohail Akram, Dominic Moirangthem and Sadananda Okram, and one by Naorem Victor helped their side seal the victory.
PCC's run chase saw Thokchom Anand (31), Chungkham Kenny (15)and Thokchom Santosh (13) score in double digits.
Earlier, Thokchom Anand and Thokchom Santosh claimed 2 wickets each as L Dipu, M Jobanta, C Kenny and Vikas took 1 apiece for the losing side.
Dominic Moirangthem emerged as the man of the match.
YULE, meanwhile, posted a competitive total of 243/8 and then bowled out YUCC for 113 in 28.5 overs to secure their massive 130-run success.
In their innings, YULE put up a collective batting display through Thokchom Kishan (48), Nongthombam Sarojkumar (44), Rajkumar Herachandra (34), Sanjenbam Suresh (30), Sanjenbam Somokanta (29) and Jay Hourakcham (23) to amass their 243-run total.
Then the bowling unit led by Jay Hourakcham followed up with a brilliant bowling performance to steer YULE to a huge win.
Jay scalped 4 wickets, Thokchom Kishan and Sanjenbam Ananda bagged 2 each, and Md Karim took one.
N Thoiba (31), W Lenin (27) and N Sanjit (22) were the performers for YUCC in their poor innings.
Earlier, K Punshiba claimed 3 wickets and N Sanjit took one for YUCC.
Jay Hourakcham earned the man-of-the-match title.
