PREPAK denies any link with Wangoo arrests

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has denied any connection with the five people arrested by Kakching District Police Commando from Wangoo Nurathel area on February 26.According to a statement released by the outfit's publicity officer Mangal Khuman, the claim made by Kakching District Police Commando on electronic and print media that cadres of the outfit were arrested during a search operation carried out in Wangoo Nurathel area on February 26, for their involvement in the bomb attack at Wangoo Tera and other areas in connection with India's Republic Day, was false.
The arrested people, namely Okram Manitomba alias Ango Meitei (20) of Wangoo Mamang Sabal Nurathel Leikai, Sorkhaibam Goroba Singh alias Nganba (19) of Pangantabi Makha Leikai, Sorokhaibam Arbin (26) of Wangoo Mamang Sabal Leikai, Thongam Singhajit (20) and Irengbam Gitachandra (53) of Wangoo Mamang Sabal Leikai are not related to PREPAK or its military wing, Red Army (RA) in any form, the release conveyed.
