Imphal, July 17 2021:
Kshetrigao AC ex MLA Md Amin Shah has questioned the Government decision to recruit about 8000 posts for various departments during the height of the pandemic.
Md Amin Shah said this while distributing relief materials to more than 5000 families in the AC on the eve of Bakrid and added that the second wave of the pandemic was showing no sign of slowing down and experts have also predicted a third wave in a month or two.
He expressed concern whether the Government was not doing enough to tackle the situation as even after more than two months of lockdown, the situation was worsening and it has become worrisome in the last couple of days.
Md Amin Shah questioned what was the motive behind mass recruitment when the pandemic situation was worsening and the State was also not in a stable condition financially.
The results of previous recruitments have also not been declared, he added.
He alleged that the BJP MLA are doing the recruitment in view of the upcoming general election.
The rising petroleum prices has resulted in a rise in the price of essential commodities adding to the woes of the masses, he added.
He appealed the public to compare the work done by BJP with the work done by Congress during their time.
Even in Kshetrigao AC, the current BJP MLA has done no new developmental work, he alleged.
Md Amin Shah added that the time to root out the BJP from Manipur has come.
