Imphal, July 17 2021:
In connection with the upcoming Eid-Ul-Adha festival, former Kshetrigao MLA and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary Md Amin Shah has started distributing edible items to 5,000 families of the constituency and asked people to deeply think the reason behind recruitment process being initiated by bankrupt Manipur government ahead of the general elections.
In coordination with Kshetrigao Block Congress Committee, Md Amin Shah has started distributing edible items to 5,000 families of Kshetrigao and the items comprising rice, sugar, milk, onion, salt and lentils were handed over to committees and workers of every polling station of the constituency for further distribution to families.
At the handing over ceremony, Amin Shah said that the entire people of the state are suffering due to COVID-19 pandemic and there is no respite as daily positive cases increase and there is no sign of reduction in fatality as well.
Even though government is working hard to bring down positive cases and fatality, government seems unable to find the reason behind abnormal increase of positive cases.
Amidst the present alarming situation, the government is initiating process for filling up vacant posts in different departments while still withholding results of several recruitments held earlier including IRB riflemen and different posts in electricity department.
Apart from this, government is unable to pay salary to employees of several departments regularly, he said and questioned the government's motive behind initiating recruitment process for more than 8,000 posts in different departments when it has no money at present.
While appealing to people to understand the reason behind initiating recruitment process ahead of election, Amin Shah said that people should now realise that BJP MLAs think only of election and work only for their selfish gains.
Suffering of the people amidst the pandemic has no bound but people are unaware of likely fund released by BJP led government at the Centre to the state government ruled by the same party.
He also expressed concern over suffering of the people due to hike in prices of petroleum products and subsequent hike in prices of essential commodities amidst the pandemic.
