With the announcement for stricter measures across Manipur to address the grim COVID-19 situation, a mad rush for the second consecutive day on Saturday was witnessed with many thronging the roads of Imphal in panic buying, reports NNN.
With the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases, the State Government ordered a 10-day total curfew in the entire State with effect from Sunday (July 18) .
The announcement of the stricter measures triggered panic buying across the State, particularly in Imphal and other towns.
People were seen lining up in front of shops to stock up for 10 days.
