Worsening Khujairok River worries Moreh denizens

Moreh, April 08 2022:
Residents of Moreh Town lamented over the deplorable and unhygienic condition of Khujarok River which flows through the border town, and expressed apprehension that the denizens may contract various waterborne diseases due to the contaminated water.
They urged the state government to look into the matter at the earliest.
Large volume of garbage has been piled under the RCC Bridge located between Moreh Ward Number 7 Santi Nagar and Moreh ward 5, near the bank of Khujarok River.
Speaking to the media, residents staying close to the river have complained of foul odour emanating from the river.
Meanwhile, doctors at Sub-district Hospital Moreh mentioned that most of the patients who were admitted to the hospital for treatment were often due to exposure to Khujairok river and expressed concern about the health of the local populace.
