Maram Battalion organises interaction prog with ESM

Meeting of minds and strength in unity for peace, prosperity and progress of the ex-servicemen (ESM) of the state was held at Maram Battalion of 33 Assam Rifles on Thursday.
The programme was participated by executive committee of Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Association, Manipur (AFESAM) and about 200 ex-servicemen, veterans and widows from Mao, Poumai and Maram tribes of Senapati district.
AFESAM president SK Sharma, who is also Rajya Sainik Board Manipur secretary, finance secretary Col NN Singh, general secretary Lt Col L Manongba, joint secretary Capt Hau Suanmang, AFESAM Churachandpur district coordinator Sub Maj Thangboi, joint secretary Sub Maj L Saratchandra Singh, joint secretary & Manipur RSB welfare officer Sub Maj Paojalam Lhouvum, AFESAM joint secretary Nb Sub Ng Lun, AFESAM Kamjong district coordinator Hav T Shaiza, AFESAM (Bishnupur & Moirang) district coordinator Nk Y Ibotombi, AFESAM Thoubal district coordinator L Rameshwar, who is also the convenor of ESM Cell of National Political Party, attended the programme.
The executive committee members explained the various welfare schemes available from the ministry of Defence and state government and noted various suggestions from the Ex-servicemen residing in far flung areas of the region.
An hour-long interaction session between the ESMs and the association executive members was also held as part of the programme.
