Imphal, September 09 2022:
Expressing discontentment over indifferent attitude of the government even after five days of cease work strike, Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MSSA) has demanded an agreement between the agitating employees and the government at the earliest.
Speaking to The People's Chronicle, MSSA president L Purujit informed that an executive committee meeting of MSSA and Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) was held on Friday at the Secretariat and deliberated on the on-going cease work strike.
According to Purujit, inspite of employee members of the Association ceasing work for the last five days the government has been showing no signs of reaching out to the peeved employees.
Condemning such callousness on the part of the authorities concerned to resolve the issue, he suggested that the state government do the needful to hold talks and sign an agreement with the employees without any delay.
