IGNTU-RCM celebrates 13th foundation day

The 13th Foundation Day of the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur (IGNTU-RCM) was celebrated today at the Library Hall of the campus.
Professor NS Hari Narayana Moorthy, Controller of Examinations, IGNTU, Amarkantak was the Chief Guest and Professor Ng Ngalengnam, Director, IGNTU-RCM graced the celebration as presidium members, said a press release by IGNTU-RCM.
Professor Sanjoy Das, Head, Department of Computer Science, IGNTU-RCM, while presenting the welcome address read out the message conveyed by Professor Prakash Mani Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, IGNTU, Amarkantak.
The Vice Chancellor in his letter extended best wishes to IGNTU family and took note of the teachers' dedication and service and assured that promotions would be granted to those eligible teachers in appropriate levels and positions.
Speaking as the chief guest, Professor NS Hari Narayana Moorthy stressed that the founding of IGNTU was to uplift the conditions of the tribal brethren in India through knowledge and education and also to promote and conserve the declining tribal culture and tradition.
He wished the RCM fraternity the best in its academic pursuits.
Presenting the presidential address, Professor Ng Ngalengnam briefly narrated how RCM was established at Tribal Research Institute, Imphal in a single room providing MPhil in Political Science in 2009 which was later shifted to its permanent campus.
She also briefed on the progress of the varsity.
