Imphal, April 08 2022: In connection with National Lok Adalat, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ukhrul in association with Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organised a poster campaign at District and Sessions Court, Phungreitang, Ukhrul on Friday.

The campaign was attended by District and Sessions Judge Ukhrul in-charge Ojesh Mutum and JM-FC-Ukhrul PA Phungreishung as presidium members along with additional public prosecutor, Ukhrul PS second OC, retainer lawyer, DLSA front office, PLVs, Bar members, police personnel and litigants.

Speaking on the occasion, Ojesh Mutum appealed to the people to avail the benefits of Lok Adalat, which is another form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

No fees are required to be paid for Lok Adalat and the cases are often resolved without spending any money or waiting for a long time.

The main objective of the poster campaign is to spread awareness and inform the masses on how to avail free legal services.

The campaign was carried out at court complex, police station, district hospital, CHC, post office, church and markets of the district.
