FADA donates Rs 22 lakh to Green Mission

Days after the forest department sought financial support from different sections of the society including government departments, NGOs, CSOs, public and business houses towards the Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission, Federation of Automobile Dealers' Association (FADA), Manipur has donated a sum of Rs 22 lakh to the mission.
FADA members called on the CM at his office secretariat on Saturday and handed over the cheque to the CM in the presence of works minister Govindas Konthoujam and transport minister Khashim Vashum.
FADA, Manipur is an apex body of automobile dealers of different companies operating in the state.
A press statement issued by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) & Head of Forest Force (HoFF) Dr AK Joshi on March 25, appealed to all departments, government/non-government agencies, private entrepreneurs, business houses, philanthropist organisations, individuals, CSRs, CSOs, and the public to make generous financial contributions to the 'Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission' to make a positive contribution to the environment and natural resources.
It also called for making it a mandate to plant more trees for a healthier, fairer, and greener future.
