PNB present equipment worth 11 lakh to DH Tamenglong

Tamenglong, November 18 2021:
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has handed over medical equipment worth around Rs 11 lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities to District Hospital, Tamenglong.
The sophisticated medical equipment included ultrasound, semi-autoanalyzer, ECG machine, etc.
The equipment were handed over to the officials of District Health Society, Tamenglong by PNB Imphal Circle head Manish Debbarma and PNB chief manager S Steven Aimol in the presence of Tamenglong SDO Rohit Anand, CMO Dr G Majachunglu, DH MO in-charges Dr Kaguilan Kamei, Dr Felix Kamei, PNB Tamenglong Branch manager Akuna S Panmei and other medical staff.
Speaking on the occasion, SDO Rohit Anand conceded that many patients are referred to Imphal for treatment and it is his dream to ensure that no patient needs to go down to Imphal for medical care and the DH Tamenglong becomes a model hospital in future.
Manish Debbarma stated that PNB has selected eight districts to carry out CSR activities.
The PNB wants to reach out this initiative to poorest of the poor and such hopes that these machines will be utilised properly, he said.
Dr G Majachunglu thanked the PNB for their kindness, while assuring that they will use the machines to the fullest.
Many patients were sent to Imphal even for undergoing ultrasound test, but from now onwards the patients will not have to face that problem anymore, she added.
