Imphal, April 03 2022:
All Manipur School Students Transporters' Association (AMSSTA) has urged the government for arranging a meeting and bringing a consensus on the school hours so as to ensure students avail their education without any hindrance.
In a release, AMSSTA general secretary Tongbram Jimmy Singh said that the new order issued bv education department about school hours will cause huge inconveniences to school van operators.
He appealed to school authorities to continue the earlier school timing until a consensus has been brought about between the government and the Association on the new school hours.
Moreover, he urged the parents for persevering a little by considering the plight of the school van operators.
The government should not compel transporters under AMSSTA to launch protest by overlooking the grievances of the school van operators, he cautioned.
