Covid-free status remains, 69 jabbed

Imphal, December 22 2022:
The state is maintaining Covid-free status for the second day in a row on Thursday even though fresh wave of the infectious viral contagion is reported in different parts of the world with China, Japan and South Korea being the worst affected by the new wave.
In the last 24 hours, 91 samples were tested in the state but none of the samples were found carrying the Covid virus.
So far, the virus has claimed 2149 lives including seven CAPF personnel, and infected 1,39,922 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 69 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,48,669 people, out of which 13,38,023 had received the second dose and 2,79,095 taken precautionary doses.
