44 AR felicitates young achievers

Imphal, March 04 2022: 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR/IGAR (East) felicitated 15 students who have cleared All India Level Sainik School Entrance Exam.

In a release, PRO (Defence) informed that the students will be given call letters for medical and personal interview based upon their respective school merit list.

The Students were felicitated by 44 Assam Rifles commandant at Tamenglong town.

Speaking on the occasion, the commandant expressed that the small step by the Battalion shall bring a change in lives of these young achievers and they shall act as a role model for other aspiring students who dream of joining Sainik School for quality education and better life.

He urged the society to come forward and plan better education of their kids with Assam Rifles.

It may be mentioned that 44 Assam Rifles organised free coaching classes for entrance exam in a unique step to bring opportunity for parents seeking admission for their children in Sainik Schools from remotest district of Tamenglong.

A total of 17 children were facilitated by the Battalion to fill forms including four girls.

Later these children were trained by the Battalion by providing free coaching.

In a sterling per-formance 15 students out of these trained students cleared the all India level entrance exam.

A proud moment for the students, theh parents and Battalion training staff, the PRO said.
