Computer centre, water tank dedicated

Imphal, March 26 2023:
Joupi Battalion of IGAR (South) inaugurated a computer centre for children at Phaisenjang village near Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district on Sunday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that a total of 47 children of Phaisenjang village have been enrolled for computer learning.
The computer centre has been installed with five computers.
Classes will be conducted every day under the supervision of a trained computer soldier of Assam Rifles.
Children will be imparted with basic knowledge of computers and will also be trained to operate microsoft office.
The village authorities and residents present during the inauguration expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Assam Rifles for enhancement of their children's education.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) constructed water storage tank at Beru Anthi village in Chandel district as part of the Sadbhavana project and dedicated the same to the village.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the inauguration ceremony was organised at Beru Anthi village during which the water storage tank was handed over to the villagers.
Post culmination of the inauguration, lunch was organised for the local populace by the Battalion.
A total of 120 villagers including village committee attended the event.
With elated faces, the villagers offered their gratitude to the Battalion for the initiative of developing infrastructure in remote villages.
