CM interacts with Punjab varsity students

Imphal, March 26 2023:
Chief minister N Biren Singh interacted with a team of Punjab University who are on their visit to the state as a part of Yuva San gam under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat at the CM's Secretariat, here, on Sunday.
The team consisting of four faculties and 46 students including 23 females arrived here on March 24 and will leave the state on March 29 .
The chief minister welcomed the visiting team and felicitated the four faculties with traditional Leirum Phee.
Interacting with the visiting team, N Biren appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his initiative of One India, and making people across the country come closer to one another.
Recalling his youthful days while serving in the Border Security Force, CM Biren stated that many people in mainland India did not know whereabouts of Manipur in the past.
However, with the initiative of Prime Minister Modi, interaction among youth of different states has been made possible making them get acquainted about different parts and culture of the country.
He also highlighted the historical development of the state and mentioned various development works taken up in the country under the Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
The chief minister asked the visiting team to convey about the scenic beauty of Manipur to the people of Punjab, suggested the team to visit other states of the Northeast and wished them a successful future.
The visiting team ex pressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking up Yuva Sangam, making it possible for youth of the country to interact with one another and become closer.
They also expressed their satisfaction over the warm treatment and hospitality extended by Manipur University.
The visiting students also made certain queries about Biren's journey from a football player to the post of chief minister of Manipur.
The visiting team is staying at the Guest House of Manipur University.
The team has so far visited various tourist sites of the state and also met some eminent personalities of the state.
Vice-chancellor of Manipur University professor N Lokendra Singh and faculties of university also attended the interaction programme.
