MGSF serves ultimatum to CM, cease work strike from April 17

Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) has submitted an ultimatum to the chief minister of launching cease work strike from April 17 unless the government gives a positive response to the memorandum submitted on March 14 .
In the ultimatum, the Federation stated that they sought an appointment with the CM to discuss their demands but was denied.
Consequently, the federation held a meeting on March 12 and resolved to launch cease work strike from April 17 onwards if the government fails to fulfil their demands.
They also submitted a memorandum to the CM on March 14 raising their demands for bringing back old pension scheme in place of National Pension System; service regularisation of contract, outsourced, daily waged employees; constitution of 8th Central Pay Commission; filling up vacant posts in central/state government/PSUs; removal of restrictions and riders on compassion ate employment; upholding democratic rights of trade unions; and stopping the trend of re-engaging retired officials, the ultimatum added.
