Imphal, July 17 2021:
United Associations of Recognised School of Manipur has urged the state government to exclude members of the 'results committee of schools', who are working for announcing the results of Class X and Class XII examinations, from the purview of the 10-day total curfew in the state.
In a release, association president L Joy said that clamping of total curfew by the state for ten days from July 18 in view of the present Covid-19 situation is the right decision and fortunate for the people.
On the other hand, schools have been working tirelessly with formation of results committee to declare Class X and XII examinations in the state.
There is an apprehension that curfew might stymie declaration of Class X and XII examinations of BSEM and COHSEM respectively, he said, while noting that similar apprehensions are also felt by students as the delay in declaring exam results might affect their academic career.
He reiterated the appeal to the government for relaxing the results committee of various schools from the purview of the ten-day total curfew in the state.
