New office bearers of Lion Club installed

Lions Club of Imphal (LCI) on Monday installed its new office bearers and Board of Directors for the year 2021-22 through an online programme.
In a statement, LCI member W Manas Singh informed that 322D vice district governor-I Prof W Gopimohan, as the chief guest as well as installation officer, declared appointment of Gojendra Irom as the LCI president, Th Nitish as secretary and Heikrujam Jiten as treasurer.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Gopimohan emphasised on the need of LCI, which is the oldest Lions Club in Manipur to carry on with selfless humanitarian service and with vigour while former district governor T Satyapriya urged the new office bearers and members to uphold the principle and objective of the Club.
In his acceptance speech, new president Gojendra Irom thanked the members and informed that to mark the beginning of new Lion-istic year 2021-22, and also with an objective to save the environment from further degradation, about 50 saplings were planted under the Environmental Project of the Lions Club International on July 11 at Tendongyan.
