This has put the fate of students in jeopardy as they cannot afford to go to other schools.

But after some years, some vested interest leaders made an attempt to abolish it but by providential care the attempt was failed.
He also informed that recently the Singngat MLA inspected the centre and gave an assurance to release the pending bills and to provide additional fund in case of more funding needed to complete the project.
Construction for the science centre and planetarium had started in 2018 and by that time one truck load of sand of cost Rs 8000 but by now it has gone up to Rs 15,000.Gouzamang Guite went on to say that due to the unfa-vourable attitude of the state government cabinet, the plan for operation of a helicopter service between Churachan-dpur to Aizawl has not been materialised in spite of the fact that he had met with the Pawan Hans authorities at Noida in pursuit of the same.
Gouzamang then disclosed that he had had a meeting with both former Mizoram chief minister Lalthanhawla and current chief minister Zoramrhanga on the operation of helicopter service between Churachandpur to Aizawl.
As the Mizoram home affairs could not use up the subsidy it gets and taking due advantage of this now helicopter service would be possible.
As the COVID -19 pandemic subsides, the helicopter service shall be operational, he added.
