Distribution of relief items continues

Imphal, July 12 2021:
Many continued to distribute relief materials at various places in a bid to alleviate the hardships of the people amid the difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic.
Khundrakpam AC
Dr Ksh Kala Singh, vice president Kisan Morcha, continued distribution of relief items to families in and around containment zones in Khundrakpam AC today.
Relief items including edible items were handed over to COVID-19 tasks force members to be distributed to 34 families in Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai, 3 families in Waiton Makha Leikai, 5 families in KeibLHeikak Mapal.
3 families from Keibi Khullen and 4 families from Lamboi Khul.
Dr Ksh Kala Singh appealed everyone to observe all COVID-19 related SOP strictly including wearing of mask, washing hands or using a hand sanitizer and maintaining social distancing in public areas to protect ourselves from the pandemic.
NSS Cell
NSS Cell of Manipur University has distributed first aid kits such as face mask, soap, hand sanitizer to the volunteers of Seva Club at Thongju Part-II Makha Leikai.
Along with the kits, paracetamol, Vitamin C and Zinc tablets were also given to the volunteers.
On the occasion, volunteer of the NSS unit, Newton Laishram said that kits were donated by Seva International acknowledging the contribution of the people who are fighting the COVID-19 in the front line.
It is important that we extend our help to ensure the frontline doesn't fall prey to the novel disease, he added.
The Seva Club thanked the NSS unit and Seva International for their consideration.
Charangpat
As a part of Seva hi Sangathan 2nd phase, Laishram Thanil Meitei, incharge of Department for coordination of Trust BJP Manipur Pradesh distributed relief materials to households in the containment zone at Charangpat Maning Leikai today.
In today's distribution programme, members of RYDO Club, Charangpat were also present.
Wabagai
Former MLA Dr Usham Deben continued distribution of relief items to families in Wabagai AC yesterday.
As a part of its continuing campaign to help the people who have been affected by the restrictions and lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the virus, relief items were distributed to 270 families from Wabagai Mayai Leikai today.
The distribution programme was organised in collaboration with Educated Youth multipurpose Development Association (EYMDA), Wabagai Mayai Leikai.
The relief items distributed to the families included rice, lentils, potato, onion, cooking oil, salt etc.
Dr Usham Deben also handed over Rs 10,000 to club members to aid in their activities to fight the pandemic.
