ICFAI organises weeklong international online FDP

Imphal, July 12 2021:
ICFAI University Tripura organised a week-long online Faculty Development Programme from July 5 with the objective to develop skills of researchers and enrich publication capabilities of researchers, faculties and other scholars of India and the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
Scholars from European countries, including England also participated in the learning session which was organised on the theme "Research Methodology, Publication and Data Analysis through SPSS" .
The programme was designed for faculties and research scholars to acquaint themselves with advanced tools of research methodologies and skills to be adopted for publication of research papers in internationally acclaimed journals.
A total of 118 participants from different parts of India as well as Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh & UK participated in the event coordinated by Dr Sujit Deb and Dr Prasenjit Dasgupta.
In the inaugural session, professor (Dr) Biplab Halder, pro-vice chancellor of the University, spoke on the importance of contemporary issues which might expedite the research activities.
He also emphasised on organising such types of events during the lockdown period in order to develop research activities in this region.
Dr A Ranganath, registrar of the University, explained the importance of sharing knowledge and maintenance of academic enthusiasm during this pandemic time and congratulated all the participants upon successful completion of the programme.
The FDP covered various topics related to research methodology such as advanced statistical tools with SPSS, qualitative research, project proposal writing guidelines, publication in reputed journals and PhD thesis writing guidelines.
Reputed academicians from IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Bodh Gaya, IIIT-Allahabad, Gulf University UAE, Blue Hora University Ethiopia, statistics department MBB University and senior faculty members of ICFAI University Tripura enlightened the participants with basics as well as advanced technicalities of research methodology during the seven-day FDP.
Dr Abhishek Goel, IIM-Calcutta and professor Kishor Meher of Blue Hera University, Ethiopia attended the valedictory session and motivated the participants for their research activities.
The FDP concluded with a positive note to continue teaching, learning activities following strictly social distancing platform with the help of technology and enriched thoughts.
