Senapati, July 12 2021:
PHE minister Losii Dikho has declared Robve Solephe village under Song Song sub-division in Senapati district as 100 per cent vaccinated against Covid-19 .
The Manipur-Nagaland border village with 33 households, Robve Solephe has become the first revenue village in Senapati district to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 .
The announcement comes after weeks of vigorous efforts of conducting mass vaccination by the minister in his Mao constituency where he personally visited many vaccination camps with team consisting of SDOs, doctors, nurses and health workers along with village leaders who joined the campaign.
Significantly, the declaration has come amidst poor response to Covid-19 vaccination exercise in Senapati district which is recorded as lowest in Manipur.
The minister visited Robve Solephe village on Monday and gifted water tanks to all the 33 households while assuring a new playground, pipe water connection for every household within August and other development projects in the village soon.
He had also enrolled 10 households for housing schemes along with providing essential items to the villagers recently.
While lauding the fully vaccinated villagers, Losii Dikho also appealed to other villages in the district to get vaccinated at the earliest to effectively fight the pandemic.
"Robve Solephe village is an example to all," the minister said during his visit.
The villagers also decided that any village members coming from outside the state should be vaccinated to enter the village.
The border village was accessible only through the 20 km long NH-2/Tadubi road passing near the border Nagaland village Khezekheno, but thanks to PMGSY road connectivity, the village is now just 9 km distance away from Mao gate.
With poor health and education facilities, the village is a neglected border village when it comes to development.
However, the local MLA Losii Dikho has made extra effort to usher in development in the village during the past few years, a village leader said.
Later the minister also handed over an ambulance to Maram PHC which was donated by Ankit Kala's family through the minister.
In this regard, Maram Students (MKS) leaders who received the new ambulance at Punanamai, Mao thanked the minister and the donor's family for their noble initiative and service to mankind.
