Imphal, July 04 2021:
Extending its support to the removal of props from the mouth of the statue of mythical Kanglasha installed inside Kangla Fort, Manipur Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Academy (MIPCA) has questioned people and organisations who are sceptical about the removal.
In a release, MIPCA secretary L Robindro Singh stated that Kanglasha is believed to be the avatar of Ibudhou Pakhangba and during the period when its mouth remains open the land will be gripped with chaos.
The people who are expressing their displeasure must realise that this was not done by some people from outside, but by the government after consulting with experts to usher in a new era of peace and development in the state.
It is natural that for moving ahead in the path of development, some changes will occur from ruler to ruler, it asserted.
MIPCA believes in letting the chaos filled past of the state be by-gone and work together for development instead of trying to bring each other down, the secretary said.
