Details of rice quota under NFSA and PMGKAY for IW spelt out

After the rice quota under National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyana Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for Assembly segments within Imphal East was laid out, the Sangai Express once again brings you the details of rice quantity allotted for beneficiaries of 14 Assembly segments falling within Imphal West district.
The district has a total of 119669 ration card holders, of which 107448 are Priority Household (PHH) card holders and 12221 are AAY card holders.
The total of beneficiaries in these Assembly segments are 395378 (PHH: 377120 and AAY: 18258) and total rice allotted is 4290225 kg.
With a total of 23648 beneficiaries, the rice quota allotted to the Thangmeiband AC as per officials of the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, is 142300 kg under NFSA and 118240 under PMGKAY.
Remaining AC's and total quantity of rice (NFSA+PMGKAY) to be distributed to the beneficiaries for each month till November as assured by the Central Government are: Uripok (266360 kg), Sagolband (249660 kg), Keishamthong (277625 kg), Singjamei (262065), Yaiskul (57425 kg; *major portion of the AC falls within Imphal East and have been published earlier), Patsoi (391745 kg), Konthoujam (404755 kg), Lamsang (474560 kg), Sekmai (336330 kg), Wangoi (337895 kg), Naoriya Pakhanglakpa (297110), Langthabal AC (347175 kg) and Mayang Imphal (345045 kg).
Details of number of card holders, total number of beneficiaries and quantities to be distributed to each ACs are summed up in the following table.
