New members of Shiv Sena State Unit felicitated

Shiv Sena State Unit has strarted preparations to fight in the upcoming General Election and is trying to produce female candidates who will work for the welfare of the motherland.
The above statement was made by Moirangthem Tombi, president of Shiv Sena State Unit during a felicitation ceremony of new members Maharabam Anita and Khwairakpam Martho Devi today.
Maharabam Anita is from Awang Sekmai Khunou Leikai, an intending candidate from Sekmai AC in the upcoming General Election.
She has a degree in BE Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and is currently the president of Awang Koubru Women and Child Development Society.
M Tombi asserted that more oppotunities will be given to female candidates in the upcoming General Election in a bid to improve the status of women in the State.
He continued that a PIL will be filed regarding the eight assembly constituencies of Kakching district whose residents can cast their vote for MP election but cannot contest for the same and sought the support from the people for the cause.
He further appealed to all concerned to support those candidates who will work for the people without any vested interests.
