Luhiya Ngangbam, third position holder of this year's HSLC examination, aspires to bring a change in the State administration by proving her mettle in the Civil Services examination.
Luhiya, who is the lone daughter of Kamal Kumar and Bilashini Devi of Thangmeiband Kabrambam Leikai, gave the credit of her success to her parents and teachers.
She started schooling from Maria Montessori Sr Sec School but shifted to Nirmalabas High School in Class I.Luhiya said that although she could not attend school regularly due to frail health, she tried to make up her studies by getting tuition in Class X .

Luhiya said she relied on her own hard work till Class IX and pointed out that bandh and blockades pose serious hurdles that affect regular attendance and syllabus coverage.
Luhiya also turned out to be music buff as she told to The Sangai Express that her hobby is listening to music.
Luhiya's father Kamal Kumar is an AO in the State Agriculture Department and her mother Bilashini a teacher in Lalambung High School.
Kamal Kumar said that he is pleased and satisfied with what his daughter has achieved but conceded that he would be the proudest father if Luhiya topped the HSLC examination.
