Districts prepare for interaction programme with PM

Imphal, May 29 2022: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated throughout the country to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the beneficiaries of 16 schemes/programmes spanning nine ministries/departments of the government of India on May 31.Beneficiaries of Chandel, Senapati, Kamjong and Tengnoupal districts will take part in the interaction programme with Prime Minister on the day and respective district administrations have made all the necessary arrangements for the programme.

The programme titled 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' in respect of Senapati will be held at the mini secretariat, Senapati town from 9am onwards and it will be attended by CAF & PD minister L Susindro Meitei, MLAs of Senapati district, local leaders and village chiefs.

The district level everit will be linked with the national event at 11am when Prime Minister will be live from Shimla interacting with the beneficiaries of the country.

In respect of Tengnoupal district, the programme will be held at Tengnoupal village community hall and it will be attended by health minister Dr Sapam Ranjan and officials of the district.

The same programme for Kamjong district will be held at town hall, Kamjong town from 9.45am and it will be attended by veterinary minister Kha-sim Vashum, Phungyar MLA Leishiyo Keishing, District Level Officers, representatives of various civil society organisations, village chiefs, headmen and local leaders.

The Sammelan is one of the largest ever single-event nationwide interaction spanning all districts, wherein the Prime Minster will interact with beneficiaries to understand the impact of that wide-ranging schemes/programmes covering housing, availability of potable water, food, health and nutrition, livelihood and financial inclusion, etc., have had on their lives.

These schemes/programmes include Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (both Grameen & Urban, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, POSHAN Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission (both Grafneeri & Urban), Jal Je-evan Mission & AMRUT, Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Schenje, One Nation One Ration Card, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre, Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, etc.
