One-day career guidance seminar organised for students

The Bungmi Association for Community Empowerment and Leadership (BACEL) and Monsang Pantha Youth and Cultural Club (MPYCC) jointly conducted a one-day career guidance seminar at Monsang Pantha village community hall for the students of Classes 9 to 12 of Monsang Pantha village on May 29 .
As per a statement, the seminar was moderated by Ts Simsim, member BACEL, and began with a prayer offered by Ts Martha, woman church leader, Monsang Pantha.
Anuj Tiwari, software engineer, Ng Johnson, local catechist, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ng Vincent, chief of Monsang Pantha village, Rev Sr Angela, SABS and Rev Fr Augustine, assistant parish priest of St Peter's Parish Monsang Pantha attended as resource persons at the seminar.
Ng Peter Salim, President, MPYCC welcomed the people gathered as well as introduced the resource persons.
Ng Rameson, president, BACEL, delivered a brief introduction of BACEL.
Anuj Tiwari delivered a detailed speech on 'Career Guidance'.
He introduced the students to various careers and their opportunities.
He educated the students to understand themselves first in terms of their interest and abilities.
He advised them to make appropriate decisions according to their interest while choosing a career.
Ng Vincent appreciated the presidents of both BACEL and MPYCC for organising the seminar.
He advised the students to be prepared for the future.
He stressed that life is not easy and is full of challenges.
Therefore, they must work hard from now on to be a successful person in life.
Rev Sr Angela also gave words of encouragement for the students and stressed on the spiritual development in their life.
She advised the students to be open and seek guidance from elders and keep learning.
Ng Johnson spoke on personality development.
He said that sincerity, honesty and positive attitude in life are requisite of success in life.
He also highlighted that true education is the promise of good life.
He added that as students they must have curiosity and eagerness, and put more effort in learning.
Rev Fr Augustine advised the students to have a spirit of competitiveness.
Sh Micky Victor, Khulaa of Monsang Pantha village also gave a brief talk appreciating BACEL & MPYCC and added that organising such seminars is a boon to the village.
He also thanked the students for their active cooperation and encouraged them to be always active, smart and cooperative, and above all work hard in their studies.
The seminar was successfully conducted with the participation of around 60 students.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ts Warshing, vice-president of BACEL.
The seminar ended with a prayer by Ng Barbara, president, Women Development Monsang Pantha.
