Dr Nehginpao Kipgen felicitated

A felicitation program of Nehginpao Kipgen from Washington, D.C., who was conferred Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science in January this year, was held at OS Twinom village, Sadar Hills, Manipur, on March 28, 2015 .
The program was attended by family members and friends of Dr.Kipgen and village chiefs.
The event was given coverage by different media outlets, including ISTV and Khohui magazine.

Nehthang Kipgen, chief of O.S.Twinom and host of the event, said he and his villagers were immensely honored and grateful to have organized a felicitation program for his brother Dr.Kipgen, a renowned scholar among the Chin-Kuki-Mizo community of India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Dr.Kipgen, accompanied by his newly wedded wife, described the challenges he had to persevere through to achieve success.
Kipgen, who is a recipient of scholarship funded by the American government, encouraged youngsters to aspire for excellence in their chosen fields and professions.
In honor of the young political scientist, youths of O.S.Twinom village have pledged to conduct English worship service every second week of the month.
