CAU Inter-collegiate youth festival begins

The three-day 7th Central Agricultural University (CAU) Inter Collegiate Youth Festival cum Games and Sports Meet 2023 got underway from Monday at its Iroisemba complex with vice chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra hoisting the university's flag.
The meet will be participated by students from 13 constituent colleges of the varsity and compete in different games, literary and cultural events.
Speaking at the inaugural function, CAU Imphal director (instruction) Dr S Bas-anta informed that the meet is being organised with an objective to build unity and integrity and make students of the constituent colleges compete with each other in different events.
Comparing CAU Manipur as a mini India, he said that students from different parts of the country and faculties from 18 states are in the varsity.
The selected students will then take part in Inter University Youth Festival to be held at Agriculture Science Bangalore and All India Inter University Games and Sports Meet at Haryana Agriculture University.
The inaugural function was also attended by CAU College of Agriculture dean Prof Indira Sarangthem, Registrar Prof K Mamocha, Extension Education director Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, comptroller Ananthashayanam and CAU Imphal OSD (Finance) Dr H Chaoba as presidium members.
