Hoisting of Tricolour :: Moirang fit for pilgrim centre: Hosabale

Rashtriya Swayamseyak Sangh (RSS) National general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has categorically stated that Moirang where the Tricolour of independent India was hoisted for the first time may now be considered as a pilgrim centre for modem India.
Today, a number of RSS members led by Dattatreya Hosabale offered floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of his 126th birth anniversary at INA Memorial Complex, Moirang.
The RSS members also paid obeisance to the soldiers of INA who fought against the British.
At the observance, the RSS leader continued that the movement initiated by Netaji under the slogan 'Dilli Challo' inspired many Indians to revolt against the British and throw off the colonial yoke.
Saying that the INA movement played a vital role in the freedoin struggle of India, Dattatreya Hosabale maintained that hoisting of the Tricolour at Moirang was a historic event.
-Further stating that Moirang is fit to be developed as a pilgrim site as the first Tricolour was hoisted in the area, Dattatreya Hosabale lauded all the Manipuris who took part in the freedom struggle.
Later, Dattatreya Hosabale visited INA Museum and Headquarters .
RSS (North East) general secretary Kh Rajen, publicity secretary Dr Sunil Mohanty, Thanga AC MLA T Robindro, Moirang AC MLA Th Shanti, Saikot AC MLA Saikot Paolianlal, Kumbi, AC MLA S Premchandra, LDA Chairman M Asnikumar and functionaries of BJP Manipur Pradesh and BJP Bishnupur District Committee also attended the programme.
