Chief Minister N Biren has categorically stated that Manipur needs to adopt some major political decisions in order to ensure that both the hill people and plain people can live together with dignity and security.
"Otherwise we will all disappear one day", Biren said.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of a newly constructed community hall at Maiba Khul which is located within Heingang Assembly constituency.
Biren went on to claim that only BJP can take a major political decision in the State.

The two persons arrested along with brown sugar from Kiyamgei have been identified as Md Abdul Salam (47), s/o Late Md Chaoba of Lilong Yangbi Leikai and Md Wasim representatives were elected through adult franchise and the first elected Government was formed.
The first sitting of the Manipur State Assembly was held on October 18, 1948 and Manipur became a Constitutional monarchy.
Being a Constitutional monarchy, the political power was transferred from the king to the people, it said.
Thus Manipur became the first independent the growing need to inculcate a sense of patriotism in the younger generations.
The younger generations must have a strong sense to protect their motherland and their identity, he said.
Claiming that many policies and activities of the BJP Government are being supported by the masses, the Chief Minister said that his Government has been working hard with full commitment to eradicate poppy plantation and the drug menace as the Government enters its secc ad year.
Some groups which were in power for around 30 years have been trying to undermine the Government's movements to eradicate drug menace, protect forests and restore harmony among all communities, he decried.
